Alternatively, you can arrange to pay via bank wire transfer. There will be an additional bank transfer fee if you choose this option. An invoice will be issued to you for any payment option.

What paperwork do I receive?

Every painting is accompanied by a ‘Certificate of Authenticy’ which itemises the specific artwork and is signed by me. You will also receive an invoice and receipt.

When will I receive my painting?

Paintings will be shipped from the studio within 3-5 days of receipt of full payment. Actual shipping time will be dependent upon your delivery address and the method of delivery you choose. In cases where the paint is still wet for a new painting, additional drying time may be required before it is ready to ship.

Do you take painting commissions?

Yes! Commissions begin with a discussion between me and you. This can be done via email or a live Zoom call. I’d like to first get to know you and your vision of the work. Commissions are a collaboration. The painting is a product of the relationship that you and I will develop. The more I can learn about you and your ideas for the painting, the better the result for both of us. Prices are calculated on an individual basis. There is a non-refundable deposit of 50% payable for all commissioned work. Use the Contact page to get in touch and begin the process.

Can I reserve a painting?

Paintings may be reserved for a fixed time (usually no more than 24 hours) if you need to check measurements, import duties for international shipping, or you just need to ask for a second opinion. If you would like to reserve a painting, then send me an email by the Contact page or click the “Inquire Now” button below the painting.

How do I care for my painting?

There are some things that paintings and drawings don’t like - dampness, extreme variations in heat and very strong direct sunlight. So, avoid rooms like a bathroom where it gets steamy, try and avoid hanging very closely above a radiator or air vent. All paintings will be varnished before delivery. However, if the painting is less than 4 months old, it will come unvarnished as the paint needs at least 4 months to cure before varnishing. In this case, can you choose to send the painting back to me and I will varnish it free of charge. This is optional and is completely your choice. We can discuss this further once you have decided to purchase a specific painting. All drawings have by sprayed with a fixative to prevent smudging.

Is the painting signed?

All my work is signed by me. Sometimes the signature is directly on the painting and other times on the back of the canvas.

Are paintings framed?

Some paintings are sold framed, others unframed. You will see in that each artwork is clearly listed as either ‘framed’ or ‘unframed’. If a piece is listed as framed then this cost is already included in the listed price.

Can you frame a painting for me?

The short answer is, “yes.” If the artwork does not already come framed, then there will be an additional cost for framing. I will provide you a quote for this beforehand. However, I encourage you to frame the work yourself or have it done by a local professional for the following reasons: First, framing is very personal and is based on the client’s individual tastes and the decor of the room in which the painting will hang. Second, framing adds weight and size to the painting that will increase the shipping costs. Works that are listed as “framed” will already have this cost included in their price. You can save on shipping costs by purchasing an unframed work as such. Once you receive the work, take your time to choose a frame that best suits the work, your taste and the space in which it will hang. If need help deciding on a particular frame, you can contact me and I will be happy to give you my recommendations.

How accurate is the on-screen image of a painting?

Great effort is taken to capture the colour and texture of the work so that you get a truthful representation of each painting. However, there will always be some variation from screen to ‘real life’- all digital screens have different setting and qualities. If you require more images to help you decide, I’m more than happy to email high resolution images or video of a painting to help you see a work in its full glory! Please contact me for more details.
